What makes Waypoint different
Healthcare only
Every page on Waypoint is clinical: ICU, ER, OR, L&D, NP/PA, allied health. No marketing roles, no retail, no AI recruiters trying to pivot you into sales. Your time isn't wasted scrolling past noise.
Real wage data, not ranges hidden behind 'competitive'
Our wage pages show actual per-system pay scales for nursing and allied health — sourced from BLS, hospital-published rates, and community submissions. See exact numbers by system at /wages, and per-state at /wages/state/[state].
No ghost listings
We run a 4-layer deactivation pipeline. Roles that are filled, expired, or no longer in the hospital's own system get marked inactive within 1-3 nights of disappearing upstream. The job you click on is a job that's actually open.
Direct apply, not a 'profile' wall
No mandatory account creation. No resume parser that mangles your work history. Click Apply and you land in the hospital's own ATS (Workday, iCIMS, etc.) where you fill out their form once.
Hospital reviews from real nurses
The forum at /discuss has threads on every major system — staffing ratios, charge nurse culture, NICU vs PICU tradeoffs at specific facilities. Read before you apply.
Tools built for the job hunt
Travel pay calculator (tax-home vs stipend math). Compact license eligibility by state. Hospital comparison tool. AI cover letter helper. All free, no email gate.

Common questions
Do I have to make an account?
No. Saved jobs work via your browser's local storage. You only enter info on the actual hospital's ATS form when you apply.
Is Waypoint free for nurses?
Yes. Completely. The site is funded by hospitals paying per apply-click on boosted listings — you'll never be charged for searching or applying.
How current is the data?
The scraper runs nightly. Most systems are updated within 24 hours of a job being posted or closed upstream.
What about travel contracts?
The /travel page indexes Vivian Health and Aya Healthcare's open contracts — about 19,000 live travel positions. We don't take agency commissions; you apply through the agency directly.
Can I get email alerts?
Not yet — coming soon. Save jobs for now (localStorage, no signup), and they'll be there when you come back.
