Licensure
✓Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided:
✓MD : Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians .
✓OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
✓PA: No state license is required
✓WV : Radiography License OR Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
Certifications
✓Radiography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) .
✓3 . Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire .
✓Computed Tomography certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR actively working in multiple modalities.
✓They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
Qualifications
✓4 . State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
✓One (1) year of computed tomography experience.
✓Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
✓Knowledge of growth and development, understanding of the patient’s needs and scope of treatment.
✓Understands the dynamics for each patient incorporating biophysical, bio-psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural, ethical and discharge planning needs.
✓Knowledge of total care of patients, whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment, focusing on the control of pain and other symptoms.
✓The Computed Tomography Clinical Ladder is a system-wide clinical advancement program to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality imaging care, and improve job satisfaction for computed tomography technologists.
✓To apply for the next level, the computed tomography technologist must meet the requirements of their current level.
✓Level 1
✓All computed tomography technologists with less than 12 months of experience enter at Level one.
✓Level 2
✓Meets requirements for previous levels.
