As an Access Associate Senior at UVA Health, you play a critical role in ensuring patients receive seamless, compassionate entry into care across a complex and high-performing academic medical system. The Role In this high-impact position, you will serve as a trusted access expert across multiple clinical settings, supporting patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance functions.
Your ability to adapt quickly, maintain accuracy, and provide outstanding service will directly influence both patient experience and operational efficiency. On any given day, you may: Perform patient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates with a high level of accuracy Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling across a variety of specialty and primary care services Communicate directly with patients and families, providing clear guidance on processes, expectations, and next steps Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and fellow access staff to resolve complex scheduling or registration challenges Maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while prioritizing both patient care and compliance standards This role demands strong judgment, adaptability, and a patient-centered mindset, as you will be stepping into diverse workflows and cross functioning teams while upholding UVA Health’s high standards of excellence.

MINIMUM
High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
2+ years of directly relevant experience required.

The pay range for this role is $19.50 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
