General Summary Performs a broad range of general accounting activities to support the organization's financial reporting and month-end close processes. Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, analyzing financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with U. S.
GAAP and organizational policies. Supports the preparation of financial statements, audit activities, and other accounting functions while partnering with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls. Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares, analyzes, and posts recurring and non-recurring journal entries, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and timely in accordance with U. S. GAAP and organizational policies.
Assists in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including the preparation and review of supporting schedules and documentation. Analyzes financial activity and account balances, researching and resolving discrepancies or unusual transactions. Prepares and maintains balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring account balances are supported by appropriate documentation and reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly.
Provides support for internal and external audits, including gathering documentation, preparing schedules, and responding to auditor requests. Prepares bank reconciliations and coordinates the correction of reconciling items as necessary. Ensures compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
Assists in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and other regulatory reports as assigned. Common Expectations: Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards and recommends changes to improve the accounting function. Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Required Work
