The Activities Aide – MCH for the Mid Coast Senior Health Center supports the Manager of Social Events & Volunteers as well as Social Events Coordinators in providing meaningful, purposeful and fun activities for residents. Recognizing that every interaction with a resident is an activity, the Activity Aide helps to plan and deliver a daily calendar of activities that incorporates individual interests and addresses the physical, mental,, emotional and spiritual needs of each resident.
The Activity Aide will spent 70% of their time interacting with residents and 30% working on documentation, planning and organizing. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Coursework in Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Sociology, Education, Social Work or other healthcare field preferred. License/Certifications: N/A
Experience in a clinical setting working with the elderly preferred. Experience working with people with dementia in a residential setting preferred. The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package. The pay range for this position is $18.36 to $21.31 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
