Certifications
✓Credentials: Basic Life Support and MUSC Safety Care Training required within 4 weeks of hire . Thereafter, must maintain.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Education
✓Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
✓A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Qualifications
✓Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
✓Must be knowledgeable of activities practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing activities functions in the post-acute care facility
✓Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the activities department
✓Must perform proficiently in all applicable competency areas
✓Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
✓Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
✓Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
✓Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to MUSC Health’s polices and completes mandatory trainings and other appropriate compliance training
Prior experience with geriatrics preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in arts/crafts/music is preferred
