Job Summary and Qualifications You will report directly to the Clinical Director and will be responsible for implementing general recreation activities with direction/ assistance from the Activity therapist You will assist with Activity Therapy groups and activities both on and off the acute unit You will encourage patient participation in groups and provides emotional support and encouragement measures when needed You will manage safety and orderliness of activity group areas and other patient and visitor areas and maintain appropriate quantity and variety of activity therapy supplies You will document activity interventions and outcomes, in the patient’s medical record congruent with departmental policies What qualifications you will need: High School Diploma preferred Degree or coursework in music, art or recreation preferred but not required Minimum one (1) year experience working with psychiatric, physical rehabilitation or medical patients Preferred previous recreation experience with an emphasis on groups Benefits Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
