AAPC or AHIMA coding credential (CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA) preferred
Qualifications
✓4+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in a corporate coding leadership role supporting large multi-site healthcare organizations
✓4+ years of recent DRG or inpatient coding experience
✓4+ years of experience partnering with CDI and Quality leadership to improve reimbursement and coding accuracy
✓4+ years of experience with computer-assisted coding technologies and EMR coding workflows
✓Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
✓All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
Proven operational knowledge of healthcare-related federal and state regulations, as well as standards from regulatory agencies and accrediting organizations (e.g., CMS, TJC) preferred
Proven ability to influence change and serve as a change agent \ preferred
Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment with clients preferred
