Certifications
✓strongly preferred to achieve certification upon meeting eligibility requirements.
✓preferred to achieve Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification upon meeting eligibility requirements through PNCB.
✓BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
✓Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Early Assessment Recognition (PEARS) certification within 1 year of hire date
Preferred Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) through Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) upon hire.
If not CDN certified upon hire preferred
Education
✓BSN with two years’ clinical experience (3,000 hrs) or ADN with three years’ experience (4,500 hrs)
✓Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN with two years’ clinical experience (3000 hours), or ADN with three years’ clinical experience (4500 hours).

Qualifications
✓If unable to meet CDN eligibility requirements
✓Completes mandatory education and annual competency assessment requirements as defined by unit and system by due date
✓75% attendance at staff meetings, if applicable
Previous dialysis or apheresis experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience in a neonatal, cardiac, critical care and/or pediatric care setting strongly preferred
