We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Addictionologist to join our growing behavioral health and addiction treatment team. The Addictionologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The ideal candidate is passionate about addiction medicine, experienced in medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and committed to delivering patient-centered, trauma-informed care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and substance use assessments to diagnose substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s recovery goals and clinical needs. Prescribe and manage medications, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with evidence-based practices and regulatory guidelines. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding addiction, relapse prevention, recovery resources, and treatment options. Collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, nursing staff, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case reviews.
Facilitate or support group therapy and psychoeducational sessions as needed. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, and organizational standards, including confidentiality and patient rights requirements.
Stay current with advancements in addiction medicine, behavioral health treatment, and evidence-based clinical practices. Support community outreach, education, and awareness initiatives related to addiction and recovery services. Advocate for patients and promote a culture of dignity, respect, and recovery-focused care.
