Qualifications
✓Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and accurate manner
✓Ability to work independently
✓Ability to communicate with patients, referring physicians, transplant team members, insurance companies case managers, governmental agencies, hospital staff, and other groups in a professional, diplomatic manner over the telephone and in person
✓Ability to abstract medical information accurately from patient file
✓Working knowledge of resources within outpatient and an acute care medical center with commensurate ability to refer individuals to appropriate departments
✓Knowledge of medical terminology
✓Demonstrated skill in operating a PC and laser printer to quickly and accurately prepare, type and distribute forms, correspondence, and schedules.
✓Demonstrated skill in routine data entry
✓Demonstrated skill in operating copy machine, and other standard office equipment
✓Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
✓Ability to work with and maintain confidential patient information
✓Previous experience in a health care setting working with health care professionals and patients
✓Knowledge of UCLA Medical Center policy and procedures
