✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health discipline issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
✓New York State license in good standing
✓Pre-license psychologists will be expected to obtain their New York State license no later than 14 months after beginning employment.
Education
✓Ph.D. or Psy.D. applicants without a license will also be considered assuming all doctoral requirements including internship and dissertation have been successfully completed.
Qualifications
✓Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
✓LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology
✓Three years clinical experience working with individuals with mental illness
✓At least one year of experience working in an institutional or correctional setting
✓One-year supervisory experience
✓An equivalent and satisfactory combination of education and experience may be considered
