Job Details APP General Statement of Duties: The House PA/NP will function as support to the Medical Staff of St. Joseph Hospital by facilitating the evaluation and treatment of patients in the hospital. The House Staff will respond to requests to evaluate patients from the Members of Medical Staff and other members of the hospital clinical staff.
Patients will be evaluated and treatment initiated in cooperation with the appropriate treating physician. The physician assistant/ NY will assist in the compliance with quality of care metrics and be an advocate for excellent patient care while promoting service excellence at all times. The House Staff is expected to provide hospital wide coverage to the nursing units on a 24 hour a day, seven day per week basis.
APP Eligibility
Completion of a course of study in an Accredited Physician Assistant Program. An unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York. Completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
An unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York. Two years of clinical experience as a Medical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is desired. Completion of the Fundamental of Critical Care Course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
Maintain BLS and ACLS certification. Posted Salary Range USD $69.80 - USD $87.25 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
