Licensure
✓Licensed as a Physician Assistant OR currently licensed as an APRN in the state of MN and current MN RN license
✓For PA, must be approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges
✓Current DEA certification
Certifications
✓Current APP certification as Physician’s Assistant OR current APRN Specialty Certification
✓Current BLS
✓Timely completion of all mandatory education and organizational requirements (i.e. licensure/certification, Employee Health and Wellness requirements, annual training, etc.)
✓Pushing and/or pulling may be required when transporting patients and equipment, performing CPR, or when intervening with patients.
Education
✓Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or accredited Physician Assistant program.
Qualifications
✓Must maintain CME requirements
✓1-year experience as a NP or PA, preferably in Digestive Care
✓Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others
✓Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
✓Ability to communicate with patients and family members
✓Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, including multitasking and prioritization
✓Ability to perform as part of a team
✓Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with peers, students, and other health care personnel
✓Ability to work dependently and independently
✓Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritizes appropriately
✓Ability to navigate an electronic medical record to obtain information and document care
✓Complies with safety instructions, observe safe work practices, provides input on safety issues and promotes a safe work environment.
✓Maintains regular and timely attendance
