OSF HealthCare Neuroscience Institute | Peoria, IllinoisOSF HealthCare Neuroscience Institute is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join a collaborative, team-oriented group of APPs and Neurologists providing comprehensive care to the general neurology population in beautiful Peoria, Illinois. Our outpatient neurology practice includes 14 neurologists, with 3 general neurologists and 4 APPs dedicated to General Neurology.

We are a comprehensive neuroscience program strongly committed to the education, training, and mentorship of Advanced Practice Providers, with structured onboarding, specialty support, and opportunities for professional growth. The Advanced Practice Provider functions as an integral member of the neurology care team and provides comprehensive outpatient care, including:Obtain detailed medical historiesPerform neurological and physical examinationsConduct comprehensive assessmentsOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic studiesFormulate differential diagnoses and diagnostic impressionsDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plansMonitor response to therapies and adjust care accordinglyPrescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatmentsCoordinate consultations and referralsProvide patient and family counseling and educationDocument care in accordance with regulatory and quality standards Position Details:

Monday–FridayOption of four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shiftsPractice setting: Hospital Outpatient DepartmentFocus: Evaluation and longitudinal management of general neurology patients Practice Model: APPs work collaboratively with general neurologists and subspecialists across the Neuroscience Institute to manage a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, including but not limited to:Stroke and cerebrovascular disease follow-upEpilepsy and seizure disordersHeadache and migraine disordersMovement disordersDementia and cognitive disordersMultiple sclerosis and demyelinating diseasePeripheral neuropathiesGeneral neurological complaintsThe practice emphasizes team-based care, timely access, and continuity across the outpatient neuroscience continuum.

Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
