Conducts pre-operative history and physicals,. Documents the results of the history and physical prior to scheduled surgery. Provides patient education to the pre-operative patient about their upcoming surgical procedure, anticipated outcome and recovery process.
Performs treatments and procedures for the patient. Prescribes medications and appropriate therapies with consent of gastroenterologist. Evaluates, screens and counsels patients on health maintenance and promote utilization of community resource and participates in quality assurance programs.
