This advanced practice provider will collaborate closely with oncologist, three advances practice providers, infusion nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for adult oncology patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced provider with a strong interest in oncology to make a meaningful impact within a respected community healthcare organization.
Position HighlightsFull-time opportunity with a collaborative oncology teamPrimarily outpatient oncology practice settingManage and support patients through all phases of cancer treatmentComprehensive multidisciplinary support including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, social work, and palliative careOpportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education programsOccasionally outreach to patients in our Mendota and Dixon communitiesWeekly coverage and oversight in our infusion clinic Schedule is M- F, no weekends or holidays ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinationsDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologistsManage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatmentsMonitor treatment response, toxicities, and disease progressionOrder, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test resultsEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship careCoordinate care with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary servicesProvide symptom management and supportive oncology careDocument patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical recordParticipate in quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiativesBenefits and Perks:OSF HealthCare offers a comprehensive Compensation and Total Rewards Package which includes: Generous paid time off!
