✓Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse •
✓Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license •APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification
✓Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate
Certifications
✓Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required
✓or Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification – Required
✓APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification
✓Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
✓CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
✓Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association preferred
Education

✓Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.
✓Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice preferred
Qualifications

✓Experience treating patients of all ages
✓Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)
The ideal candidate will have a background in orthopedic medicine, a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, and a proven track record of clinical experience. preferred
Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. preferred
