Licensure
✓One of the following current licensures in the State of Rhode Island:• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse• Nurse Practitioner.
✓Current license as a physician assistant in the State of Rhode Island is required.
Certifications
✓Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
✓Must be certified by NCCPA.
✓Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)Knowledge of basic emergency department, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures required.
Education
✓Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree from an accredited advanced practice program
✓Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree and a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
Qualifications
✓Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.
✓Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients and families, clients, coworkers, clinical staff and physicians.
✓Progressive thinking for budget, training and quality issues.
✓Strong leadership qualities.
✓One year of related experience required, two years preferred.
✓Must have experience caring for children ages 18 months and above.
✓Work as acute care hospital, physicians’ office and ancillary healthcare enterprises.
Prior Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred, some medic or primary care acceptable.
