Nurse Practitioner: Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications Physician Assistant: Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.
The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards. Rush has over 600 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Across the system, the APPs are supported by 4 levels of leadership, including 39 Lead APPs, three chief CRNAs, and a Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers.
