You’ll need
Licensure
✓If licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), (State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Title 16, sub chapter 14, Hawaii Revised Statues.):
✓If licensed as Physician Assistant (PA) (State of Hawaii Administrative Rules Chapter 85, Subchapter 6):
✓Current Hawaii State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant in good standing
✓If licensed as an APRN, specialty board certification aligned with area of assignment is required.
✓If licensed as an APRN, successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) Program is required.
✓If licensed as an APRN, two (2) years nursing experience or successful completion of an APRN Fellowship Program for any APRN position.
✓If licensed as an APRN current board certification in one (1) of the following:
Certifications
✓o A PA is an individual who has been certified by the board to practice medicine with physician supervision.
✓Depending on area of assignment, prescriptive authority for non-controlled and controlled substances may be required.
✓Depending on area of assignment, additional certification(s) may be required.
✓Credentialing and privileging required if providing medical level of care.
✓Current ACLS certification.
✓Current BLS certification.
Qualifications
✓APRN Scope of Service
✓Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
✓Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
✓Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
✓Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
✓Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
✓Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
One (1) year of clinical experience working as an APRN or Physician Assistant preferred.
