You’ll need
Licensure
✓Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.
✓PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT : Valid California license as a Physician Assistant by the Physician Assistant Board
✓Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
✓NURSE PRACTITIONER : Current State of California Registered Nurse license.
✓Current California Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California State Board.
✓Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
✓California Furnishing License - Controlled Substances II Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5 American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
Certifications
✓National certification granted after passing the PA National Certifying Exam administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
Education
✓PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT : Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, as defined by the California Physician Assistant Board. Master’s degree or certificate from a specialized medical training program associated with a medical school that includes classroom students and clinical experience.
✓NURSE PRACTITIONER : Master of Nursing Degree. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.
Qualifications

✓Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of Epic. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
✓One (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency department, primary care or related field.
Two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency department, or primary care; or one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience, plus five (5) year's emergency department RN experience. preferred
