Qualifications
✓Advance Life Support Attendant: Paramedic. Valid Driver's License - must produce acceptable DMV driving record.
✓Must remain calm and organized in emergent situations.
✓Must be available for rotating shifts as required.
✓Must have keen sense of responsibility, ability to make decisions, and work independently.
✓Must have good judgment.
✓Must have basic computer knowledge.
✓Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
✓Must be able to interact effectively with the public.
✓Operate mechanical ventilators.
✓Operate under REMS and department protocols to include special MD orders.
✓Must be available to work two Holidays annually. Holidays covered by this policy, include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. One of the holidays scheduled must be an end of year holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day).
✓The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
✓May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention: Yes
2 years of work experience as a cleared ALS provider with a 911 agency, inter-facility, transport agency or equivalent preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
M ust be available to work six shifts per six week schedule to include at least two weekend shifts. preferred
