Incumbent is responsible for all supervisory functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care within the assigned Employee Health Offices at UCI Health network hospitals and in the Occupational Health Clinics. Supervises and directs all staff and functions in the clinic while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and clinic specific expertise.
Specific duties include directing patient care activities, monitoring unit budgets in conjunction with the Administrative Nurse / Medical Director and providing oversight to staff. Participates on departmental and medical center wide performance improvement projects as applicable. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and others.

Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements Strong customer service orientation as well as written and oral communication skills Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be willing to travel between locations within the health system as needed. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff through prior lead or supervisory experience Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population Bachelor's Degree in Nursing All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
