✓Requirements
Licensure
✓To be considered for this Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse opportunity, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Certification is required.
Education
A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, along with previous pediatric nursing or ambulatory care experience.
Qualifications
✓You enjoy combining hands-on ambulatory nursing with telephonic triage and care coordination
✓You are comfortable caring for children with a wide variety of complex medical needs
✓Strong nursing judgment allows you to assess symptoms, determine urgency, and identify the appropriate next level of care
✓You can recognize when a patient's condition requires immediate escalation while remaining calm and focused
✓You communicate clinical information clearly and compassionately to patients and families
✓You enjoy coordinating across providers, behavioral health teams, pharmacies, and other healthcare partners to keep care moving forward
✓You are comfortable managing multiple patient needs and competing priorities within a busy ambulatory environment
✓You value accurate documentation and understand its importance in maintaining continuity and patient safety
✓You enjoy educating patients and families and helping them better understand their care and next steps
✓You bring a patient-centered, collaborative, and highly responsive approach to nursing practice
✓Candidates must be comfortable working with children with a wide variety of complex medical needs, demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity when interacting with patients and families, and be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
✓This is a full-time, day shift opportunity working 40 hours per week in the Ambulatory Clinic in Hamilton.
