Licensure
✓Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services at time of hire or position entry
✓or qualify to apply for license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
Documentation of successful completion of a course or training in phlebotomy. preferred
Previous experience with specimen processing. preferred
One (1) year's previous experience as a medical assistant. preferred
Experience in healthcare may be substituted. preferred
