Anesthesia Technician - Full Time

The Anesthesia Technician supports the anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines preparing infusion sets, applying to the patient, and operating all common physiological monitors and drawing arterial blood gas and other blood specimens. Able to operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on a variety of technical equipment used in the operating room.

In the operation of activated coagulation time the incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests to analyze blood clotting in patients undergoing surgery. Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Experience in the OR and be familiar with OR supplies and the hospital setting.
