Anesthesia Technologist

$20.99 - $26.32 per hour Pay Transparency : The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Certified Anesthesia Technologists are required to demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and support the application of anesthetic principles and guidelines in relation to airway management during patient care.

• Required:
• Previous experience in a management or leadership role within anesthesia department.
• Certification as a certified Anesthesia Technology (Cer.A.T.T) By ASATT
• Certified Anesthesia Technologists and Certified Anesthesia Technicians are required to show competency in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Anesthesia Technologists are required to show further competency by obtaining AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Scheduling

• Full-Time evening • 2:30pm to 10:30pm weekend rotation occasionally

• Basic airway setup.
• Troubleshoots problems or issues that arise with airway equipment.
• Assists with appropriate airway management techniques based on patient condition.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and applies appropriate psychomotor abilities to assists with “rapid sequence inductions” protocols.
• Selects appropriately sized airway equipment.
• Assists with and demonstrates psychomotor proficiency in patient denitrogenating prior to the induction of anesthesia.
• Appropriately assists, demonstrates psychomotor proficiency, and applies cognitive training with treatment of airway obstructions.
• Applies knowledge and psychomotor proficiency to optimize patient positioning during airway management.
• Assists with mask ventilation and applies psychomotor skills to support the anesthesia care provider with oxygen delivery during periods of desaturation.
• Identifies various intubation modalities and applies appropriate psychomotor abilities in support of the anesthesia care provider.
• Demonstrates cognitive and psychomotor proficiency by assessing the patient for qualitative and quantitative signs of correct endotracheal tube placement.
• Applies cognitive training and appropriate psychomotor abilities to assists with treatment of a partial or complete laryngospasm. Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
