The ultrasonographer performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The ultrasonographer should be capable of working within the guidelines set by the Medical Director and Radiologist, using initiative and independent judgment. Hospital patients served may range in age from birth to death with the greatest population of patients falling in the 45 and older age group.
