Varies Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking nursing students to join our Apprentice Nurse Program (ANP) . The ANP provides nursing students with the opportunity to gain hands-on patient care experience while actively enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program. As an Apprentice Nurse , you will work alongside Registered Nurses and the healthcare team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
The Apprentice Nurse Will: Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and elimination needs. Obtain vital signs, intake/output, and other patient measurements. Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
Monitor patients and communicate changes or safety concerns to the RN. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Support patient safety and assist with additional patient care activities as directed.
Qualifications Required
Actively enrolled and participating in an accredited RN nursing program. Required
Successful completion of one full semester of clinical rotation , OR Previous experience as an ANP, CNA, MA, HHA, EMT, PCT, Medic, or other applicable patient care experience .
