✓High School Diploma, GED, or Project Search Graduate | Required
Qualifications
✓Must complete competencies and performs as nursing assistant as assigned.
✓Must exhibit above-average communications skills.
✓Must utilize and care for equipment on nursing unit.
✓Must meet continuing education requirements.
✓Must maintain knowledge and resources necessary to provide appropriate age specific care.
✓Must be able to recognize changes in patient condition and report same.
✓Must meet annual review requirements.
✓Must be able to prioritize patient care, carry out assigned duties, reports and/or document utilizing worksheets.
✓Must carry secondary accountability for the success of the activity program, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
✓Must supervise some of the volunteers as necessary.
✓Must utilize creativity and resourcefulness as critical performance characteristics in this position, especially in the area of one-to-one activities with room-bound residents.
✓Must be in constant contact with residents, families, volunteers, and other staff, and therefore will need acceptable skills in communication to be effective. Friendliness and optimism are very desirable performance traits in this position.
✓Must project positive image of the unit to all customers.
✓Must promote harmony on unit and with other departments.
✓Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
✓Must remain aware of cultural diversity and interact appropriately with patient, family and others.
