✓Possession of a valid New York State motor vehicle driver’s license (Note: This license must be maintained for the duration of employment)
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Security Administration, or related discipline, and three (3) years of full-time, paid work experience in law enforcement or a security–related position, one (1) year of which must have been
✓A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience, where one (1) year of full-time, paid work experience in law enforcement or security in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity equates to 30 college credits.
✓a high school diploma
Qualifications
✓New York State residency (for the duration of employment)
✓Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Assistant Chief of Hospital Police training within six (6) months of appointment
✓However, all candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in law enforcement or security in a responsible, administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity
✓and a valid New York State motor vehicle driver’s license.
✓In addition, the NYC Health + Hospitals Assistant Chief of Hospital Police training must be completed within six (6) months of appointment.
