Work Shifts 8:00 A. M – 4:00 P. M, with rotating weekends and holidays (17.5 hours) Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, assists in the planning, organizing, controlling and coordinating administrative and office operations across organizational settings in support of business, management, health care, and patient support systems.
Integrates programs, functions, and services with health care setting to coordinate operational activities. Examples of Typical Tasks: 1. Conducts studies related to the services and programs, analyzes system and procedural modifications to improve departmental operations. makes recommendations and assists with implementation. 2.
Assists in program planning through consultation with management, professional staff, and associated health care areas to align patient care and operational objectives. 3. Serves as a liaison between departmental administrative, technical and professional divisions and Central Office staff. 4. Assists in budgetary planning, reviews operating costs, performs cost studies, and prepares department budgets. 5.
Assists in planning, development and may conduct training programs to maintain staff proficiency, support new equipment adoption, and implement operational methods and procedures. 6. Evaluates office performance, revises administrative procedures, and develops new forms or methods to improve workflow. 7. Reviews official directives and correspondence to determine System-wide, health care setting or department policy and/or procedural changes, as well as ew assignments or responsibilities delegated to office. 8.
Establishes standardized correspondence procedures and style practices. 9. Formulates procedures for the systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records. 10. May provide administrative supervision for comprehensive health service programs involving professional, non professional, and related health care staff. 11.
Supervises and monitors the performance of staff in the assigned area(s) of responsibility. 12. Supervises office administration and departmental record keeping activities. 13. Assigns and schedules staff based on workload, space, and equipment availability. 14.
Reviews, prepares, and updates operational manuals and standard operating procedures. 15. Effectively applies ICARE values: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of full-time experience in health care; or, 2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience, in which each year of relevant training and/or experience can be substituted for 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university.
