Education
✓A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or a related field.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, purchasing, and/or contracts management.
✓Experience supervising employees, including responsibilities such as hiring, training, and directing staff.
✓Proven track record in contract development and document control skills.
✓Ability to develop and track procurement project schedules.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences.
✓Ability to lead meetings, give presentations, work with facts and be able to tell a story with numbers.
✓Demonstrated success in building and sustaining positive customer and other relationships.
✓Commitment to working within an organizational framework of continuous process improvement.
✓Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
✓Ability to travel for conferences as needed
Experience in public procurement in the state of Washington, local government, or public higher education, especially in a facilities or construction environment. preferred
Experience working in a high-volume environment. preferred
Experience working in higher education. preferred
Experience in business diversity, equity, and/or inclusion programs. preferred
Possession of a valid Washington State driver's license preferred
