✓Requirements
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum three years of related experience or equivalent experience/training.
Master's degree in social sciences or humanities (Counseling, Education, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology) / or equivalent experience / training. preferred
Qualifications
✓Academic advising experience and advanced counseling techniques.
✓Has thorough knowledge of opportunity and accessibility programs and can apply advanced anti-discrimination subject matter knowledge to facilitate a welcoming culture for all.
✓Demonstrated commitment to the UCSF Pride Values and Principles of Community and anti-discrimination theories to guide their work.
✓Experience in the development and delivery of presentations, workshops, and large-scale events.
✓Exhibited ability to collaborate effectively with multiple organizational units and overcome complex institutional barriers.
✓Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem-solving, and process improvement.
✓Abilities in project management, problem identification, and program outcomes.
✓Ability to professionally communicate information in a clear and concise manner across a variety of domains; solid knowledge and use of English grammar; excellent writing and proofreading skills.
✓Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and experience providing guidance in a complex institutional environment.
✓Deep familiarity with and sensitivity to issues of accessibility and bias related to disabilities.
✓Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential issues that require independent judgment and strict discretion and maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information.
✓Strong organizational skills, attention to accuracy and detail, and ability to efficiently manage multiple complex matters.
Knowledge of UCSF organization as well as UC policies and procedures. preferred
