You’ll need
Certifications
✓Certification required as a Registered Health Information Administrator and registration required as a Registered Health Information Technician.
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) a plus. preferred
Education
✓Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Masters of Science Degree in Health Information Management or a closely related field and five to seven years of previous work related experience.
Qualifications
✓Strong analytic, organizational and time management skills.
✓Strong computer skills, working with Microsoft Office.
✓Critical thinking and multi-tasking.
✓Medical Terminology.
✓Strong communication skills necessary to work with physicians.
