Licensure
✓Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
Certifications
✓May require Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) depending on assignment/health care setting.
✓If required, BLS must be obtained within sixty (60) calendar days of appointment to the title and maintained for the duration of the assignment.
Education
✓Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing Administration or a related nursing discipline
✓Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing
Qualifications
✓and three (3) years of satisfactory nursing experience, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity, which may include managing a specific department or nursing unit within a hospital or health care setting, overseeing patient care, staff management
✓and four (4) years of satisfactory nursing experience (i.e., clinical care), two (2) years of which must have been in a clinical supervisory capacity (i.e., Head Nurse, Supervisor experience), as well as demonstrating clinical competency in relevant clinical area.
