✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Certifications
✓Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
✓Certification preferred for RNs meeting applicable certification eligibility requirements.
✓Obtain and maintain current National Institute’s of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
✓Certification required within 90 days of hire.
✓Certified Nurse in Critical Care (CNCC) certification must be obtained within six months of hire and maintained in accordance with organizational standards.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with BSN required
MSN preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 1-3 years clinical experience.
✓Understanding of the organization’s scope and complexity and the position’s responsibility.
✓Knowledge of the scope and complexity of the nursing care needs of the major populations served, as well as the culturally diverse and special needs of the population.
✓Training classes are sponsored by the Education and Development Department.
✓Demonstrates effective communication and interacts appropriately and professionally with patients, visitors, colleagues, physicians, students, and all others.
✓Ability and willingness to resolve and mediate conflicts.
✓Must be organized, able to effectively prioritize tasks and resources while exhibiting appropriate time management skills.
✓Must be detail oriented while focusing on safe practices and quality care.
✓Demonstrates effective leadership and coaching of colleagues to positively effect patient outcomes.
✓Adaptability to changing work environments or needs.
✓Proficient computer skills to complete tasks as required.
Membership in professional nursing organization preferred.
