Assistant Nurse Managers are responsible for the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on the unit. They carry out the system, hospital, and nursing service mission, vision, values and overall strategic planning, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management, and quality management on the unit. They promote the health system service standards and create a patient-focused caring environment while addressing and meeting the individual needs of the patient. WORKING CONDITIONS General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms. May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
