✓Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer
✓Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider within six months of hire
✓Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization (i.e. the National Certification Corporation (NCC)) within two years of hire/transfer
Education
✓Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) degree
Qualifications
✓Three years of clinical nursing experience, one year of which shall have been in a facility with a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU
✓Excellent written and oral communication skills.
✓Effective interpersonal skills, critical thinking and creative problem solving.
✓Understands the principles of utilization and case management. Ensures that patient care needs are met in a timely manner and that patient care is coordinated across the continuum of services and sites.
✓Uses the Statement of Concern process to report patient care issues.
✓Uses patient satisfaction data to improve care and service.
✓Knows and utilizes the Medical Staff and Kaweah Health chains-of-command.
✓Assesses float staff and determines the minimal competencies for staff floated into areas supervised.

Demonstrates awareness of the needs and preferences of the medical care providers and provides excellent service. preferred
