About the role

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates overall clinical and administrative activities of an assigned nursing unit. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, assumes ultimate responsibility for staff oversight and the care of patients on a nursing unit. Supervises, evaluates, guides and counsels nursing staff in their work performance.
