The Assistant Professor (doctorally prepared) is a member of the academic faculty entrusted with the development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of the College of Nursing's program(s) curriculum. The Assistant Professor assists in the development of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) curriculum, identification, and monitoring of clinical sites for student practice and design of standardized patient scenarios.
Serves the college, its students, faculty, staff, the profession, and community and is expected to participate and contribute to nursing scholarship through research activities, presentations, or publications. Each faculty member is expected to abide by and promote the mission, philosophy, and expected outcomes of the college and its programs within the philosophy framework and policies of OSF Healthcare and the College Board.

Doctorate - Graduate degree in nursing with a FNP specialty and PhD in Nursing or DNP
1 year of experience as an APN; 2 years of experience in clinical nursing practice. Teaching experience Licensure/
Board certified as an FNP. Current CPR APN – Advanced Practice RN; RN - Registered Nurse Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
3 years of experience as a FNP in full spectrum of family practice Other: Record of refereed paper/posters at professional meetings. Record of refereed publications. Evidence of continued self-development within profession.
