You’ll need
Certifications
✓One quarter of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
✓Ecclesiastical endorsement or recommendation by local faith congregation.
Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or it’s affiliate cognate group. preferred
Ecclesiastical endorsement by faith group. preferred
Ordained by faith group. preferred
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited college or university. One quarter of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school. One year residency from an accredited ACPE center preferred
Qualifications
✓Active congregational ministry experience
Clinical pastoral experience of two (2) years preferred

The Associate Chaplain is responsible for Christian ministry to the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of all patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
