✓Gathers necessary clinical information and processes referrals, pre-certification, pre-determination, and pre-authorizes according to insurance plan requirements
Education
✓High School Diploma/GED
Qualifications
✓1+ years of experience working in a customer service environment OR working in a professional/military setting using a computer and telephone
✓Provide the proper service to our customers we require so that our employees adhere to our work schedule policies and demonstrate the attendance and flexibility that is required. Would you be willing to work occasional overtime, weekends or holidays as needed
✓Ability to work at 508 S. Church St, Mount Pleasant, PA and 854 Vanderbilt Rd, Connellsville, PA 15425 - Combination between these two wherever needed
✓Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department, Physician office or any medical setting preferred
Experience in requesting and processing financial payments preferred
Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Understanding of insurance policies and procedures preferred
Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments preferred

About the role

Responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care, including greeting, and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co-pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office duties as required in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment.
