Athletic Trainer - School Based (Days) (PRN)

The Athletic Trainer provides care to both healthy athletes and those who have impairments, functional limitations, or changes in physical function and health status as a result of injury, illness, or other causes. The Athletic Trainer works with occasional guidance by collaborating with the health care team using modalities, personnel, equipment and supply resources. The Athletic Trainer works in prevention of injury and illness, identification and evaluation of injury, referral and teaming coordination with appropriate healthcare team members and settings, as well as rehabilitation recovery of the injured or ill athlete.

The Athletic Trainer is consistently communicative with other members of the health care team, coaches, strength and conditioning staff, parents, and athletes regarding injury illness prevention and management. Required Knowledge & Skills

No prior work experience required Licenses and Certifications *HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR) *CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER Qualifications *Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Athletic Trainers. *BOC certification as Certified Athletic Trainer. *Comprehensive knowledge of Athletic Training practice, NATA position statements, emergency management. *NOTE: BLS within 30 days. *One year of related experience preferred.
