The Audiology externship position will start at the end of May 2027 Supports the UF Health Audiology team of 18 audiologists through participation in patient care. Performs newborn hearing screenings at the UF Health Shands hospital. Assists audiologists with audiology service interventions for pediatric through geriatric populations in all areas of audiology clinical services.
Audiology services include comprehensive audiologic and balance evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, electrophysiology evaluations, implantable devices (cochlear implant and osseointegrated devices), hearing aid and assistive listening technology. The Audiology team collaborates with other services across the organization to provide patient centered care. Helps with maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the department operations and services.
QualificationsMinimum Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree and completion of the first three years of the Doctor of Audiology (Au. D.) program. Licensure/Certification/RegistrationNone
