POSITION OVERVIEWThe AVP-Risk Management & Insurance leads the organization's risk management function, including insurance, safety, claims, and risk analysis programs.

The role is responsible for mitigating organizational risk, safeguarding assets, driving compliance, and providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic and financial goals. Leads and develops the risk management team. Partners with insurance broker to oversee procurement and administration of all lines of insurance portfolio.

Directs loss control and prevention activities based on an analysis of loss and incident data. Develops departmental budget and accumulates cost data to calculate Total Cost of Risk to the organization. Evaluates the effectiveness of the risk management activities.

Develops risk management related policies and procedures. Provides risk management consultation for specific issues and cases. Submits recommendations for changes in the existing risk control and risk financing procedures based on organizational changes.

Tracks, tends, and presents risk management results and recommendations based on an analysis of incident/loss data. Other duties as assigned.
