Behavioral Health Associate - ECT

​ PURPOSE STATEMENT: ​ Provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse. ​

​ Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. ​ Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. ​ Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.

When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority . ​ OTHER FUNCTIONS: ​ Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. ​ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL

​ High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required . Two or more years’ experience in Human Services Field; OR ​ Associate’s Degree with major in human services field and two or more years’ experience in human services field; OR ​ Bachelor’s Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field. ​ EMT or paramedic experience preferred . ​ LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: ​ ACLS Certification and IV Certification required . ​ CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). ​ First aid may be required based on state or facility .
