Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; a law degree; or five years of experience in lieu of degree, is required.
Qualifications
✓Considerable knowledge of behavioral health conditions and their impact on the criminal justice system and the community.
✓Three years of experience in the criminal justice system.
✓Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
✓Understanding of assessment in treatment planning.
✓Knowledge of community referring agencies and collaborative intervention strategies.
✓Demonstrated ability to develop effective service plans and strategies to meet identified needs
✓to work effectively with community resources, to work closely and effectively with BHD participants, and other professionals
✓to gather and document necessary client information, write reports and maintain client records
✓to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and to maintain confidentiality according to all relevant regulations and agency requirements.
Prior experience in grant writing and grant administration preferred.
Prior Behavioral Health court experience preferred.
