Bonus Potential Summary/Objective The Behavioral Health Court Liaison is responsible for the initiation, coordination, and implementation of the involuntary admission process and the task and duties associated thereof in such a way that state regulations are met, quality patient care is provided to involuntary patients and their supports, and a working relationship is fostered between Baptist Behavioral Health and the Court System Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the involuntary admission process in such a way as to provide efficient, quality services to patients regarding mental health warrants from the point of admission all the way to discharge. Responsible for the coordination of the certificate of medical examinations completed timely, filing the applications for involuntary status and working with the court system to ensure compliance with state rules and regulations.
Service as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting Baptist Behavioral Health’s treatment program and philosophy as to assure the deliverance of quality treatment to patients who are involuntary. Ongoing and daily evaluation of new patient warrants to ensure accuracy and assistance in the Intake Department as needed and directed by Manager of Psych Program Services. Communicates with Psychiatrist, Nursing Staff and members of the Interdisciplinary team in order to facilitate the second medical fillings with requirements for involuntary stratus as well as notification of Psychiatrist regarding probable cause and final hearing dates when applicable.
Serves as a liaison to patients, families, and entities as negated and documents this interaction in the patient EMR. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. 1 Year of Acute Hospital, inpatient mental health facility experience required. Required License/Certifications Be commissioned as a Notary in the State of Texas or meet the eligibility requirements to pursue commission.
